Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the microSD-card.
3. Enter the service mode.
4. Remove the base cover.
About this task
NOTE: When the coin-cell battery is removed, it clears the CMOS settings.

Steps
1. Disconnect the coin-cell battery cable from the connector on the system board.
2. Lift and remove the coin-cell battery from the palmrest assembly.
