Steps
1. Lift the pull tab on the PCIe door outwards to open the PCIe door.
2. Push and hold the tab that secures the Dell Ultra Speed Drive Gen3 card to the PCIe card connector (SLOT3) on the system
board.
3. Gently lift the Dell Ultra Speed Drive Gen3 card off the PCIe card connector on the system board.
4. Align and slide the PCIe blanking plate in the slot on the chassis.
NOTE:
Do not perform this step if you are immediately replacing the Dell Ultra Speed Drive Gen3 card with a new PCIe
card.
5. Close the PCIe door and press it gently until it clicks in place on the chassis.
NOTE:
Do not perform this step if you are immediately replacing the Dell Ultra Speed Drive Gen3 card with a new PCIe
card.
6. Place theDell Ultra Speed Drive Gen3 card on a clean and flat surface.
7. Turn over the Dell Ultra Speed Drive Gen3 card such that the solid-state drive faces down.
8. Remove the screw (M2x5) that secures the solid-state drive to the Dell Ultra Speed Drive Gen3 card.
9. Carefully turn the Dell Ultra Speed Drive Gen3 card such that the solid-state drive faces up.
10. Remove the standoff nut from the notch on the solid-state drive.
