Configuring Local Logging
Beginning in Privileged EXEC mode, use the following commands to
configure the type of messages that are logged and where the messages are
logged locally.
Command Purpose
test copper-port tdr
interface
Perform the Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) test to
diagnose the quality and characteristics of a copper cable
attached to the specified port.
CAUTION: Issuing the test copper-port tdr command will
bring the interface down.
NOTE: To ensure accurate measurements, disable all Green
Ethernet modes (EEE or energy-detect mode) on the port
before running the test.
The interface is specified in unit/slot/port format. For
example 1/0/3 is GbE interface 3 on unit 1 of the stack.
show copper-ports tdr

Display diagnostic information about all ports or a
specified port.
show fiber-ports optical-
transceiver [
interface
]
Display the optical transceiver diagnostics for all ports.
Include the

option to show information for the
specified port.
Command Purpose
configure Enter Global Configuration mode.
logging on Globally enables logging.
logging audit Enable switch auditing.
logging cli-command Enable CLI command logging
logging web-sessions Enable logging of the switch management Web page visits.
logging snmp Enable logging of SNMP set commands.
