data connection (e.g., Internet/Wi-Fi or mobile data
service/3G/4G/LTE is lost, connection is turned off
in Airplane Mode, or smart device or smart watch if
applicable, is placed in Do Not Disturb mode). When
the smart device or smart watch is turned back on, the
Follower will only receive the most recent notication and
might miss helping the Sharer in the event of prior low or
high blood glucose values.
Sharers and Followers should check whether their cellular
service carriers support voice and data at the same
time (simultaneous voice and data). If their carriers do
not support simultaneous voice and data, the Dexcom
Share2 app may not be able to share glucose readings
and the Dexcom Follow app may not be able to receive
notications or glucose readings during phone calls.
Dexcom Share will resume sharing after the phone call
has ended, and the Follower will receive any waiting
notications after the phone call has ended.
