6.2 Troubleshooting
If y ou encounter any problem when y ou are using this wireless broadband router, don‘t panic.
Before y ou call your dealer of purchase f or help, please check this troubleshooting section, the
solution of y our problem could be very simple, and you can solve the problem yourself .
All the indicators are off.
b) Check the connection between the power adapter and
the power socket.
c) Check whether the power switch is turned on.
No proper LAN connection
indication.
Check the following:
d) The connection between the device and the PC, the
hub, or the switch.
e) The running status of the computer, hub, or switch.
f) The cables connecting the device and other dev ices.
Use a cross-ov er cable to connect the dev ice to a
computer. Use a straight-through cable to connect the
device to a hub or a switch.
ADSL indicator is not on.
g) Check the connection between the ADSL interf ace of
the device and the socket.
Unable to access Internet ev en
when the ADSL indicator is on.
Ensure that the following information is entered correctly.
h) VPI and VCI
i) User name and password
Cannot access the web page.
Choose Start > Run f rom the desktop. Enter Ping
192.168.1.1 (the def ault IP address of the device) in the
DOS window.
If the web conf iguration page still cannot be accessed,
check the following configuration.
j) The ty pe of network cable
k) The connection between the device and the computer
l) The TCP/IP properties of the network card of the
computer
