6. NETWORK MANAGEMENT
If in the indicator there is an ethernet board (SETHNET) it is possible to create a network between two or more instruments.
If there are only two indicators the connection is made through a crossed Ethernet cable, while for the connection of more
than two instruments it is necessary to use a switch/access point. In this last case, if there is an existing access point or
cabled network, it is necessary to configure the network parameters of the modules before connecting them (see following
section).
All the SETHNET have this predefined address: 192.168.16.205.
6.1 INSTRUMENT NETWORK CONFIGURATION
So that the instruments can comunicate through the SETHNET modules, it is necessary to configure the following
parameters:
- BAUD RATE of the COM.AUX a 115200 (step SEtuP >> SEriAL >> CoM.AuX >> bAud >> 115200)
- Enable the ETHERNET protocol on the COM.AUX ( step SEtuP >> SEriAL >> CoM.AuX >> ProtoC >> Eth.nEt).
This protocol require the configuration of the following parameters:
1. nodE.Gr NODE GROUP
2. nodE.id NODE ID
3. iP.ModE TYPE OF IP (STATIC or DYNAMIC)
4. iP.Addr IP ADDRESS
5. nEt.MSK SUBNET MASK
6. Auto.db AUTOMATIC DB ALIGNEMENT(If enabled, it enables the automatic synchronization of the
databases)
7. n.nAME NETWORK NAME
Example: network between two instruments with static address.
