Steer Suspension - Inspect
1. Inspect the suspension mounting bolts. Tighten
suspension mounting bolts, if necessary, to 240+30
N·m (180+20 lb·ft).
2. Look for leaks at the power steering hose
connections.
3. Remove any trash buildup on the suspension or the
steer axle.
Steering Mechanism - Check,
Lubricate
1. Lubricate the steer axle king pins, total of four fittings.
Two on the right side and two on the left side.
2. Lubricate the steering link bearings, total of four
fittings. Two on the right side and two on the left side.
3. Check for any worn or loose components of the
steering mechanism. Remove any debris or trash as
required.
