3.3 Measuring principle
3.3.1 Measuring principle glucose and lactate determination
Determination of glucose and lactate with the SUPER GL easy / easy+ is based
on an electro-chemical measuring principle with a biosensor. System solution,
calibration, control or patient material is extracted with the aid of a piston pump.
The electrodes in the sensor are separated from the flow of liquid by barrier
layers in which the immobilised enzyme is found. The following illustrations show
the flow diagram of the equipment and the reactions running in the sensor:
