3. If the UPS is a four UPM model, check the Field Installed UPM (FI-UPM) air filter (located behind the front
panel) and wash or replace as necessary. See Figure 132 for the filter location. The FI-UPM filter size is 20"
x 44" x 0.25". Contact an Eaton service representative for a replacement filter. To remove the filter:
a. Remove one top screw and two bottom screws securing the FI-UPM front panel (refer to the Eaton
9395 Field Installed UPM Mechanical Installation Manual listed in para 1.7 For More Information). Lift
the panel straight up to remove it from the panel hanger bracket at the top of the cabinet.
b. Pull the foam filter over the screw heads on the cabinet mounted studs and remove the filter from the
cabinet.
Verify washed filter is thoroughly dry before reinstalling.
c. Push the washed or new foam filter over the screw heads on the cabinet mounted studs until seated
against the cabinet.
d. Reinstall the FI-UPM front panel removed in Step c and secure with the retained hardware.
4. Record maintenance results and any corrective actions in a suitable log.
