4-1 Inspecting air fi lter
1. Close choke shutter. Remove cleaner lid and air
fi lter.
2. Inspect air fi lter (A). If blocked with dirt or dust,
remove the obstruction with using brush.
2. If heavily blocked with dirt or dust, clean air fi lter
(A) with compressed air or wash away with non-
infl ammable solvent/detergent.
WARNING DANGER
Wear eye protection when working with
compressed air. Eye damage can occur from
fl ying particles.

4-2 Inspecting fuel cap and fuel strainer
1. Remove fuel cap.
2. Inspect fuel cap for cracks and O-ring (A) for
cuts or damage, and replace with new one as re-
quired.
3. Replace fuel cap (B) if damaged.
4. Pull fuel strainer (C) from fuel tank using a wire
hook (D). Clean fuel strainer. Replace if defective
or heavily soiled.
5. Reinstall fuel cap.
