Why is my Eclipse Car Stereo System sound dead or weak?
    • K
      Keith SchultzAug 13, 2025
The sound may be dead or weak because the volume is not turned up enough. Try turning up the volume control. Also, the muting function may be in effect, so cancel the muting function. Another reason could be that the fader or balance control is set too far to one side; readjust the fader and balance controls to more normal positions.

What to do if my Eclipse Car Stereo System receives no stations, or receives static noise?
    • J
      Jamie ClarkAug 17, 2025
If your Eclipse Car Stereo System receives no stations or static noise, first ensure the antenna is fully extended. Next, check that the tuner is correctly tuned to a station. If you are driving outside the service area of your preset stations, tune to a local station. Also, avoid operating other equipment with a computer or mobile phone in your vehicle while using the receiver.

If the disc cannot be inserted, ejected, or changed, check whether there is an extra label or seal applied to the disc and remove it. Also, inspect the disc for rough edges, deformations, or damaged areas. Try inserting another disc, remove any burrs, and do not use a deformed or damaged disc.

Why does my Eclipse CD5423 Car Stereo System sound skip around, intermittent, or bad in quality?
    • S
      Sean HayesAug 25, 2025
If the sound skips, is intermittent, or of poor quality, the disc may be damaged (scratched, warped, etc.). Try another disc and avoid playing damaged discs. Also, check if the disc is clean and clean it if necessary. If you are driving over a rough surface, avoid playback while driving over rough surfaces.
