6.1.1. Flow Rate
This screen is identical to the screen displayed after pressing key FLOW. Flow-rate can be
set in the range of 0.00 - 10.00 ml/min. Default value is 1.00 ml/min.
6.1.2. Pressure Limits
In each sub menu can be set pressure limits.
6.1.2.1. High Pressure Limit
High pressure limit can be set in the range for ECP2010 / ECP2010H 1.0 - 40.0/60.0 MPa
(150 - 5800/8700 psi). Minimál value of high pressure limit is 1 MPa (150 psi) higher than value of
low pressure limit. Default value for ECP2010 / ECP2010H is 40/60 MPa (5800/8700 psi).
Example: If the value of low pressure limit is for example 6.3 MPa (910 psi), value of high
pressure limit can be set for ECP2010 / ECP2010H in the range of
7.3 - 40.0/60.0 MPa (1050 - 5800/8700 psi).
This function is used for column protection. Limit should be set approximately 20 % higher
than normal pressure in the column.
6.1.2.2. Low Pressure Limit
Low pressure limit for ECP2010 / ECP2010H can be set in the range of 0.0-39.0/59.0 MPa
(0.0-5660/8560 psi). Maximal value of low pressure limit is 1 MPa (150 psi) lower than value of
high pressure limit. Default value for ECP2010 / ECP2010H is 0.0 MPa (0 psi).
If the value is set on 0.0 MPa (0 psi), the control of low pressure limit is deactivated.
Example: If the value of high pressure limit is for example 12.6 MPa (1830 psi), value of
low pressure limit for ECP2010 / ECP2010H can be set only in the range of
0.0 - 11.6 MPa (0.0 - 1680 psi).
This function is used for unattended pump run, to avoid uncontrolled outflow of mobile phase
in case of capillaries disconnection.
6.1.3. Concentration
Concentration of mobile phase can be set for each valve in volume percentages. The value
of concentration is derived for valve A. Using arros left and right moves with cursor, arrows up and
down change value of concentration and pressing ENTER confirms set value of concentration.
Default value is 100 % A.
Setting a number of used valves can be performed in
Menu/Preferences/Gradient/Valves used. Minimal number of used valves is two.
6.1.4. Solvents Volume
Volume (mobile phase) for valves (A, B, C and D) can be set in range 0 - 10000 ml. Setting
of warning and volume limit can be done in Menu/Preferences/Solvents/. Default value is 0 ml.
