The Australian National Environmental Protection Council has established
the following objectives for Particles as PM

Maximum concentration: 50µg/std m

Maximum allowable excedances: 5 days per year
Australian reference conditions:
Standard temperature defined as 273K (0°C)
Standard pressure defined as 101.3 kPa (760mm Hg)
1.4.4.3 U.S. EPA reference method designation
For the HiVol to be used as a U.S. EPA designated reference method the
sampler must be configured in the following arrangement:

• Flow rate set to 67.8 m

Any configuration different to this is not covered under the designation.
