During imaging, the pinch roller bar is down and the registration
pin is below the plate’s path of travel. If a misfeed or a power
failure happens to occur and the plate gets “hung up” in the
machine, you are advised not to raise the pinch roller bar. Doing so
will raise the registration pin. If the plate happens to be
positioned over the registration pin (Figure 4-5 View B), when
the pin comes up and it will bend or dent the plate.
