Stitch around the appliqué, making sure the needle
swing off to the right side of the appliqué outside edge.

a curve or corner:
Stop the machine and lower the needle into the fabric
on
the outside edge of the appliqué.
Raise presser foot, pivot the fabric, lower foot and sew.
NOTE:
Apply stabilizer to the fabric for the stitch to form
correctly.
