Optimization options
• Antenna size
The larger the antenna the smaller the beam angle α, resulting in fewer interference echoes.
• Interference echo suppression (mapping)
Measurement can be optimized by electronically suppressing interference echoes
• Take into account the orientation of the antenna, the marking on the flange or threaded
connection
• Metallic plates mounted at an angle
These plates scatter the radar signals and can therefore reduce interference echoes.
• Variable flange seal (FMR56)
The device can be aligned with the product surface using the adjustable flange seal.
• Alignment unit for FMR57
In the case of devices with an alignment unit, the sensor can be optimally aligned to suit
conditions in the vessel in order to prevent interference reflections. The maximum angle β is ±
15 °±.
The purpose of sensor alignment is primarily to:
• Prevent interference reflections
• Increase the maximum possible measuring range in conical outlets
