6.3 Application
Deep well measurement:
In this application the water depth in a deep well is to be
measured. The bargraph displays the water gauge and the
numeric display indicates the distance to the water level.
Example:
Well full:
- Sensor signal 20 mA
- Numeric display
is to indicate 3 m
- Bargraph is to display 100%
Well empty:
- Sensor signal 4 mA
- Numeric display
is to indicate 14 m
- Bargraph is to display 0%
In this application the bargraph and display run against each
other, i.e. at a water depth of 3 m the bargraph displays 100%.
For this special setting up is required.
