Electrical Wiring Requirements
External circuit breaker requirements
Ensure all equipment used for lifting/moving the analyzer is rated
for the weight load.
Bolts or screws used for wall-mounting the SS2100 must be
able to support four times the weight of the instrument
(59 Kg./130 lbs.).
Interconnection of the analyzer enclosure and cell enclosure shall
be performed using wiring methods approved for Class I, Division 2
or Zone 2 hazardous locations per the Canadian Electrical Code
(CEC) Appendix B or J and the National Electric Code (NEC) Article
501 or 505. The installer is responsible for complying with all local
installation codes.
Use copper conductors only.
An approved switch or circuit breaker rated for 15 amps should be
used and clearly marked as the disconnecting device for the
analyzer.
If the breaker in the customer-provided power distribution panel
or switch is the primary means of disconnecting the power from
the analyzer, SpectraSensors recommends that the power
distribution panel be located in close proximity to the equipment
and within easy reach of the operator.
