Initial Installation
QUALIFIED INSTALLERS ONLY

When installing the Q1LI with 8ft (2.44M) or more of vertical venting, either co-axial or co-linear, it may be
necessary to restrict the fresh air supply in the rebox to control the combustion and ame appearance. Using
the pair of air restrictors supplied with the unit, install them on each side of the rebox and adjust to the correct
setting as outlined in the gure and table below. To install the air restrictors rst you must remove the log set,
air diffuser, and creamic brick panels (see seconDary InstallatIon - oPtIonal PorcelaIn Panels InstallatIon anD
remoVal) then remove the set screws as shown on each side of the rebox. Next, install the restrictors at the
correct setting and tighten the set screws to hold them in place.
