CONFIGURATION,MENUFILE
This chapter describes the configuration especially of the MMS 6110module by using the
MMS6000Wconfigurationprogram.Theinstallationsoftwarefortheconfigurationprogram
MMS6910 W and theMMS 6000system manual arepart of theMMS6910 Operatingkit
andstoredonaCD-ROM.Thedescriptionofthehandlingoftheconfigurationsoftwareand
descriptionsofthe parameterscommon toallof theMMS6000monitors,aredescribedin
part1-CONFIGURATIONANDVISUALIZATION-oftheMMS6000WSystemmanual.
Therearetwodifferentwayshowtoconfigureanewmonitor:
1. Selectmenu"New"inmainmenu"File",selectparametersmonitortypeandopera-
tionmodeandsetallrelevantparametersinmenu"Edit".
2. Callupmenu"PreDefined"inmenu"File"andselectamonitorwithanoperating
modewhichdefinitionssuitsbesttotheapplication.Atleastchannelnamesmustbeen-
teredandparameterscanthenbecorrectedinmenuEdit.
2.1 MonitorConfigurationNew
MenupointFile>NewopensdialogwindowSetupMMS-6000Monitor-
configuration.
Theleftpartofthemenushowsalistwherethemonitortobeconfiguredisselected.The
rightpartofthemenushowsalistwithalloperatingmodespossibleforthismonitor,oneof
themmustbechosenwithamouseclick.

Dualchannelmodewithtwoseparatechannels.Theconfiguration
(measurementrange,sensortype,limitvalueetc.)canbeselectedfor
eachofthechannels,eachchannelcalculatesitsowncharacteristical
value(peak-peakorzero-peakvalue)andchecksitonlimitexceedings
andfaultsofthemeasuringchain.
