Software Setup Problems
You cannot install EPSON TWAIN.
❏ Check if your computer and operating system meets the
system requirements.
❏ Make sure your computer has enough memory to run the
application.
Software Operation Problems
You cannot start EPSON TWAIN.
❏ Plug in the scanner and then turn on the computer.
❏ Unplug the scanner and turn off the computer. Then check
the connection between the scanner and the computer.
❏ Make sure that EPSON TWAIN is selected in your application
software.
❏ Make sure your software is installed correctly.
For Windows users:
In the Device Manager menu, make sure your scanner’sname
appears under Imaging Device hardware type without a
question (?) or an exclamation (!) mark. If the scanner appears
with a question (?) or an exclamation (!) mark, or as an
Unknown devices hardware type, click Remove to remove
it while the scanner is still connected and turned on. Then
reinstall EPSON TWAIN. See “Recovering from Scanner
Software Installation Problems on Windows” on page 6-20.
