Nozzle Check Print A nozzle pattern will be printed. Inspect the pattern visually and perform
head cleaning if you detect faint or missing colors.

The options displayed vary with the model of printer used.
Note the numbers of patterns that contain faint or missing colors and
clean all or selected nozzles. Selecting All Nozzles cleans all nozzles
(SC-S30600 series) or all nozzles in a selected print head (SC-S70600 series
and SC-S50600 series). Choose Selected Nozzles to clean only the nozzles
in selected arrays.
The level of cleaning can be selected from Execute (Light), Execute
(Medium), and Execute (Heavy). Select Execute (Light) first. If the
problem persists after you have used Execute (Light), choose Execute
(Medium). If the problem persists after you have used Execute (Medium),
choose Execute (Heavy).

WH,MS Ink Refresh is available when 10 color mode is selected for the
SC-S70600 series, WH,WH Ink Refresh when 5 color mode is selected for
the SC-S50600 series.

Wash the print head using a consumable Cleaning cartridge.
Head washing is performed on the selected nozzles.
The required number of Cleaning cartridge is given below.
If All Nozzles and Head1 All Nozzles/Head2 All Nozzles are selected:
SC-S70600 series 10 color mode: 10
SC-S70600 series 8 color mode: 8
SC-S50600 series 5 color mode: 10
SC-S50600 series 4 color mode: 8
SC-S30600 series: 4

Select “All Nozzles” only if the printer has not been used for an extended
period.
Head Maintenance Move Head Position the print head for maintenance. Perform such maintenance as
cleaning the wiper, caps, and the area around print head only after using
this option to position the head for cleaning. Moving the print head
manually could cause malfunction.
