Setting pressure regulator
NOTE: The pressure regulator screw is very tight.
A big screw driver needed.
Loosen the lock nut on the adjustment screw/bolt.
Turn the regulator adjustment screw/bolt down tight.
Turn on pump.
If the pump is properly primed, a high pressure will
immediately show on the pressure gauge at the pump body.
With the pump operating at high pressure, open a nearby
faucet. Next, slowly unscrew the adjusting screw/bolt until
maximum water flow is obtained without pressure dropping to
zero.
If pressure falls completely, retighten the screw/bolt and
readjust it. If no pressure shows, stop the pump, remove
the pressure regulator from pump, add more water, and try
again. If pump still can not build pressure, check all piping
connections on inlet side for leaks. Any leak will cause pump
to lose prime.
The minimum operating pressure of the pump is 54 psi when
no faucets or outlets are open. Check to confirm pump is
operating at min 54 psi before proceeding.
After the adjusted screw/bolt is set up, tighten the lock nut on
the screw/bolt to hold it in proper adjustment.
The pump is ready for use.
