ACCESS TO ENGINE, CAB AND TANK COMPARTMENTS
ENGINE COMPARTMENT
You must open the engine protective cover to carry out any
intervention inside the engine compartment. In addi- tion, the
side walls of the rear wheel can be removed.
The
rear part of the cover is fitted with a lock.
The
inner
right part of the cover is also fitted with a mechanical catch to
hold the cover open.
The following may be accessed from the engine com-
partment:

Combustion engine.
-
Engine air filter.
-
Engine oil fill plug.
-
Fuel filter
-
Fuel pre-filter
-
Coolant circuit reservoir.
To access the engine compartment:

Cut the engine and set the parking brake.

Open the lock by pulling the tab backwards (A). The
lock is fitted with a tamper- proof
system
(B) requiring a padlock not supplied with the forklift.

Lift the cover by holding the lock until the mechanical blocking device is actuated
(C)
.

To
close the cover: pull the mechanical blocking device (C)
and
hold the cover until it is closed
and
positioned for
reblocking with the lock (A).
Approach with care. Some engine parts could be very hot. Use protective gloves.
