Changingthe fuel pre-filter.
Lift the cover and access the left side of the engine. Locate the fuel pre-filter.(B)Pre-filte r
(C)Flanges
Remove
the fixing flanges brackets
and
thefilter.
Ensure
that the
new
filter is located in the correctdirection as indicated
by
the
arrow marked
on the filter housing.
WARNING
Always replace this component. Under no circumstances should you attempt to clean
it.
Changing the fuel filter.
Unscrew the fuel filter cartridge located on the left part of the engine and remove it from its support.

Fuel filter
Clean the
base and
cover the joint of the
new
filter
with clean
oil.
Screw
in the
filter
element
once
again and tighten,
do not use mechanical tools.
FUEL SYSTEM AIR VENT

Fuel pump air vent plug To avoid accidents:
WARNING
Do
not drain the engine while hot, as the drain can lead fuel
to fall in
the hot exhaust collector box, possibly causing fire.
The fuel system air vent is necessary if:
The fuel
filter
and pipes have been disconnected and then re-connected 2.The fuel tank
is
empty 3.Before
using the engine after an extended period of storage.
The
fuel
system must be
pressurised via the electrical fuel
pump
of the fuel system.
PROCEDURE
:
1.Loosen the fuel filter air vent with a few rotations. 2.Tighten the plug again
when
bubbles cease to appear.
3.Open the air vent plug in the upper part of the injection pump. 4.Re-tighten the plug when bubblescease to appear.
