CRANK ARMS ALIGNMENT
REAR WHEEL & CHAIN ADJUSTMENT

Crank bolts should be checked and torqued to 23 NM.
Apply light grease whenever re-assembling. Do not over tighten due to risk of
stripping the bolts.
Rear wheel alignment and chain tension should be checked often. Electric
bikes sustain higher speeds and forces than standard bikes. Adjustable parts
can move more frequently than regular bikes.
Ensure the rear wheel is properly aligned by equalizing the spaces between
the rear wheel/tire and the frame on either side (1).
To maintain proper chain tension, slightly loosen each axle nut on the rear
axle (2). Align rear wheel while increasing chain tension by sliding the back
wheel incrementally towards the rear of the bike. A properly tensioned chain
should have ~10mm freeplay in the center of the chain. Rotate the cranks to
ensure there is 5-10mm freeplay at all positions in the crank cycle
After the axle is in the right position, tighten the axle nuts to 60NM.
