Solving Common Problems
Even though my unit is
equipped with the Wi-Fi
option, no GPS
coordinates are
available in the GPS
Coordinates Viewer
utility.
The SMARTGPS option
is not activated on the
unit.
Activate the option (see Activating
Software Options on page 59).
The EXFO Link
application is not
running on the smart
device.
Start the EXFO Link application on
the smart device. If EXFO Link is not
installed on the smart device,
see Getting Ready to Retrieve
Geolocation Information on page 119.
No mobile wireless
hotspot has been
created on the smart
device yet.
Create a mobile hotspot to which the
unit can connect. For more
information, refer to the user
documentation that came with your
smart device.
The unit is not
connected to the
mobile hotspot of the
smart device.
Ensure that the hotspot has been
configured properly, and then
connect your unit to the mobile
hotspot as you would do with any
wireless network (see Connecting to
a Wireless Network on page 160.
