ParkBrakeAdjustment
Iftheparkingbrakedoesnotholdsecurely,an
adjustmentisrequired.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Shutoffengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stop.
3.Whentheparkbrakeisreleased,thebrakebars
shouldliftoffthetiresandthehandlevershould
travelforward.Whenthebrakeisdisengaged,the
gapbetweenthebrakesnubberteethanddrive
tireshouldmeasure1/2–5/8inch(13–16mm)
(seeFigure28).

withthewasherandhairpin.

Locatedinthefrontinsidethetower.Rotatingthe
pumplinkagewitha9/16inchwrenchallowsne
tuningadjustmentssothatthemachinedoesnot
moveinneutral.Anyadjustmentsshouldbemade
forneutralpositioningonly.
1.Raisetherearofmachineupandsupportwith
jackstands(orequivalentsupport)justhigh
enoughtoallowdrivewheelstoturnfreely.
2.Startengine.Brakemustbeengagedandmotion
controlleversouttostartengine.Runengineat
fullthrottleandreleasebrake.
3.Runtheunitatleast5minuteswiththedrive
leversatfullforwardspeedtobringhydraulicoil
uptooperatingtemperature.
Note:Themotioncontrolleverneedstobein
neutralwhilemakinganynecessaryadjustments.
4.Bringthemotioncontrolleversintotheneutral
position.Accessthelinksfromthefrontofthe
tower(Figure29).Adjustpumpcontrolrod
lengthsbylooseningthebottomnutsoneachand
rotatingtheturnbuckleuntilthewheelsslightly
creepinreverse(Figure29).Pumpshaveareturn
toneutralarmsandwillreturntoneutralwhen
thecontrolleversarereleased.Iftheleversdonot
foldout,adjustthelinksuntiltheleverfoldsout
inthemiddleoftheneutrallocknotch.Movethe
leverstothefullforwardandreverse.Ifthelevers
foldout,tightenthejamnutsonthelinks.
