Theautomatcontainsasmall
amount of water. The automat
is still at rest.

Ifthewaterlevelinthevesseldrops
toacriticallevel,anappropriate
amountofwaterwillbecarefully
pumped into the system from the
water mains. This water will be
de-aerated(bypressurelossand
thePALLrings),beforeentering
thevessel.

willbealmostfulltocapacity.
2. Warming up
Thevolumeofwaterandthe
systempressureincreases.The
unit responds to this by opening
thesolenoidvalve.Waterowsinto
thepressurelessvessel.Thewater
inthevesselisde-aerateddueto
both the drop in pressure and the
presenceofthePALLrings.
4. Cooling down
Thevolumeofwater
and the system pressure
decreases.Thede-aerated
water is pumped from
thepressurelessvessel
backintothesystem.
This restores the system
pressure.
