3.1.4 Tracker On/Off (O/I) Switch
TRACKER O/I Switch is used to turn the selected Auto-Tracking mode
on and off. The switch must be pressed and released (quick click) to
engage or disengage tracker mode.
While tracking, if the operator presses and holds the TRACKER O/I
Switch for ½ second or longer Force Coast will be engaged. Force
Coast will stay engaged until the TRACKER O/I Switch is released and
the system returns to Track mode.
3.1.5 Tracker Mode Switch
The Tracker Mode Switch is used to select either PCORR or SCENE
tracker mode in basic tracker mode, or one of the six tracker modes in
advanced mode. See paragraphs 3.7 and 3.8 for Auto-tracker operation
and use.
Phase Correlation Mode (PCORR) - The Phase Correlation mode is the
default Tracker Mode setting on the SeaFLIR II Imaging System. The
Phase Correlation mode is a general-purpose mode, effective when
tracking stationary and moving targets.
Scene Lock Mode (SCENE) - The Scene Lock Mode is used to hold the
picture on the monitor in position without operator inputs to the HCU.
Centroid Statistical Mode (CENT STA) - This Centroid Mode is used
for tracking moving targets, which have both white and black
predominance, and due to their maneuvering, change from one to the
other rapidly. Consider it a fallback mode if you experience frequent
break lock with either CENT WHT or CENT BLK modes.
Centroid White Mode (CENT WHT) - The Centroid White Mode is used
for tracking moving targets which are brighter than the background. The
tracker does not recognize color, only contrast, so this mode is best for:
Hot targets when in IR white-hot polarity
Cold targets when in IR black-hot polarity
Light colored targets when in Color CCD
Centroid Black Mode (CENT BLK) - This Centroid Black Mode is used
for tracking moving targets which are darker than the background. The
tracker does not recognize color, only contrast, so this mode is best for:
