3.3 System Start-Up Procedure
Use the following procedure to make the SeaFLIR II Imaging System
operational. At start-up, the system processor will begin initialization.
System Power - Turn direct current (DC) power from the host craft to
the SeaFLIR II Imaging System On.
Anti-Ice Power – Turns DC power from the host craft to the SGA anti-
icing circuitry On, if needed. The Anti-Ice switch is used when the
temperature is below 32ºF.
NOTE:
The SGA should always be kept in the stowed position
during aircraft takeoff and landing.
a. Turn System Power Switch to Standby (Figure 3-29).
b. After approximately ten seconds, date and time, software version
information, and other graphic information will be displayed (Figure
3-30). When the HCU Power switch is initially set to Standby or ON
position, it takes approximately 6 to 8 minutes for the cooler to reach
its cool-down temperature (IR camera ready to operate). The CCD
camera (default) will be ready immediately.
