5. Close the drain valve and refill the reservoir with fresh
hydraulic oil until the level is visible on the sight
gauge.

Use an oil that does not contain anti-wear
additives; recommended oils are listed in Chapter 1.
6. Start the pump, operate it for 3–5 minutes at high
pressure, and check for leaks. Check the reservoir oil
level; add oil as needed.
When all work is satisfactory, remove tools, parts, and
rags from the pump and close the doors. Remove the
Out of Service tag from the main electrical disconnect.
