Rear view camera system
Introduction
The Rear View Camera in the rear of
the vehicle makes it ea
sier for the driver
to see behind the vehicle and provides
support for parking manoeuvres.
The Rear View Camera shows the area be-
hind the vehicle on the Infotainment sys-
tem screen. Depending on the operating
mode and equipment level, orientation
lines aid the view to the rear →
.
WARNING
The Rear View Camera is not a substitute
for the full a
ttention of the driver and
works exclusively within the system lim-
its. Using images from the camera to esti-
mate the distance from persons or obsta-
cles can be inaccurate. If you do not pay
due attention, there is a risk of accidents
and serious injuries.
·
Always pay due attention and do not
rely exclusively on the system. The driv-
er is always responsible for all driving
tasks.
·
Note that camera lenses can enlarge
and distort the field of view.
You should practise parking with the
R
ear View Camera in a trac-calmed
area or car park with good visibility and
weather conditions, so that you can famili-
arise yourself with the system, orientation
lines and guiding functions in a safer envi-
ronment.
