the full attention of the driver and oper-
ates only within the limits of the system.
Not all approaching objects may be de-
tected, e.g. pedestrians or rapidly ap-
proaching objects. If you do not pay due
attention, there is a risk of accidents and
serious injuries or even death.

Always pay due attention and do not
rely exclusively on the system. The driv-
er is always responsible for all driving
tasks.

Pay attention to the trac situation and
the area around the vehicle when driv-
ing out of a parking space.

React promptly to the visual and
acoustic warnings of Cross Trac Alert.

cluster, press the
button on the
steering wheel.
Or: depending on equipment, open the

arking and manoeuvring menu in the
vehicle settings of the Infotainment
system.
2. Switch Cross Trac Alert on or o.
This setting can be saved in the user
accounts of the personalisation func-
tion and can therefore change automati-
cally when the user account is changed.

Adjust the steering angle.
Calibration
The radar sensors calibrate themselves
once during the first kilometres aer vehi-
cle delivery and aer sensor repairs. The
sensor range may be restricted during the
calibration phase.
Driving with a trailer
If a trailer is electrically connected, Cross
Trac Alert cannot be activated. Aer dis-
connecting the trailer connection, Cross
Trac Alert is reactivated aer switching
the ignition o and then back on again.
Cross Trac Alert must be switched o
manually if a non-factory-fitted towing
bracket is used.
