3.1 Functional Description
The Blackbird OECD is a fiber optical measurement device for measuring the
wavelength of fiber Bragg grating sensors (for example temperature, strain or
acceleration).

The Blackbird OECD consists of the following components:

Mounting plate: Used to attach the Blackbird OECD with 4 M6 bolts or welding
studs.
■
E-2000/APC connectors: 9 sockets for the connection of fiber optical sensors
with E-2000/APC connector.
