2. Spray the weather covers and the boat upholstery
withLysolSprayDisinfectant™.Enclosedareas
such as storage locker areas should also be
sprayedwithLysolDisinfectant™.
3. Place small dishes of rodent poison such as
D-Con™inanumberofareasaroundtheboat.
Be sure dishes are placed near the head and the
engines, as rodents will destroy upholstery, water
intake and discharge hoses.
4. If the boat will be in outside storage, properly
support a storage cover and secure it over the
boat. DO NOT secure the cover tightly to the boat.
This does not allow adequate ventilation and can
lead to dry rot. DO NOT store the boat in a damp
storage enclosure. Excessive dampness can
cause electrical problems, corrosion, and dry rot.
5. DO NOT use the bimini top or camper top as
a winter storage cover. The life of these covers
maybesignicantlyshortenedifexposedto
harsh weather elements for long periods.
Placing an electric or fuel burning heating unit
in the bilge of the boat during cold weather
could cause re or explosion and is not recom-
mended.
NOTICE
Boats stored outside in areas with heavy snow
accumulation are more susceptible to damage,
and should be inspected regularly during the
winter months.
6. Engine should be winterized according to the
engine manufacturers manual.

Engine Flush Out
(Four Winns Installation)
Make sure that no section of ush hoses is
in contact with moving or hot engine parts
or abrasive surfaces such as screw threads,
sharp edges, etc., which could damage the
hoses. Damage to the hoses could cause
leaks and possible ooding of the engine
compartment. Periodically check hoses for
abrasions.
NOTICE
The Four Winns installed ush out kit for Volvo
Penta® engines is identied by a transom
deck mounted coupler & cap. This type of ush
out may be used with the boat in or out of the
water and the engine OFF.
Volvo Penta’s engine ush out is directly
attached to the engine itself and is identied
by a blue cap. If the engine comes with this
type of ush out kit installed from Volvo Penta,
follow the procedure included in the engine
operator’s manual only.

1. Do not run engine during ushing procedure.
2. Remove cap from coupling and attach water
supply hose.
3. Turnwateronandallowwatertoushtheengine

4. Turn water off. Disconnect hose; replace and
tighten cap securely.
Reinstall cap onto coupler after ushing for
both types of ush outs. The cap must be
secured after ushing of engine to prevent air
from entering the system and resulting in
possible engine damage.
