1.14 Placing and testing the Charging Station
• Use the RoboRuler to place the Charging Station on the perimeter. The shorter distance (12
inches / 30 cm) is used where the area outside the immediate perimeter of the Charging Station is
free of obstacles and is the same relative height as the perimeter edge (See Figure 1.25).

• The longer distance (18 inches / 45 cm) is used where the area outside the immediate perimeter of
the Charging Station has a wall or is not the same relative height as the perimeter edge. See
figure 1.26.

Fasten the Charging Station in place using a hammer to drive the five stakes.
Begin by placing the stakes only part way into the ground, as a small adjustment may be required
when testing for proper Charging. See figure 1.27.
