Care and maintenance
General remarks In order to keep your power source operational for years to come, you should observe
the following points:
- Carry out safety inspections at the stipulated intervals (see the section headed
“Safety rules”)
- Depending on the machine location, but no less often than twice a year, remove the
side panels from the machine and blow the inside of the power source clean with
dry, reduced-blow compressed air. Do not aim air-jets at electronic components
from too close a range.
- If a lot of dust has accumulated, clean the cooling-air ducts.
WARNING! An electric shock can be fatal. Before opening up the machine
- Switch the mains switch to the - O - position
- Unplug machine from the mains
- Put up an easy-to-understand warning sign to stop anybody inadvertently
switching it back on again
- Using a suitable measuring instrument, check to make sure that electrical-
ly charged components (e.g. capacitors) have been discharged
