(5) Place a sample in a sample cup and attach it to the sampler. Attach the sampler to the pyrolyzer
and wait two minutes in order to purge the air in the dead space before proceeding.
(6) Click “START” button.
(7) When the GC, pyrolyzer furnace, interface, and Selective Sampler are all READY, the dialog box
shown in Fig. 4.16 will be displayed. Immediately drop the sample cup into the furnace; click the
“Start” button in the dialog box or hit “ENTER” key on the PC keyboard.
