Indicators on the device
The indicators are on the front of the casing. Which indicators are available on yo ur
device depends on the configuration level you have selected.

VD while the indicator is lit.
2 Power-on i ndi
cator
Caution: In energy-sa ving mode the device must not be switched
off with the main pow er switch (if pre sent ) o r disconnected from
the mains, as this may resu lt in data loss.
• The indicator is illuminated:
The device is switched on.
• The indicator is flashing:
The device is in energy-saving mode. After being switche d on
with the O N /O FF switch, the device powers up or returns to the
state it was in be fore it entered energy-saving mode.
• The indicator is not illuminated:
the d evice is switched off (power switch at 0 or disconnected
from the mains) or is ready. If the device is ready it can be
switched on with the ON/OFF switch.
3 Hard disk indicator The indicator lights up when the hard disk drive in the device
is being a ccessed.
In energy-sa ving mode the device must not be disconnected from the
mains supp ly, as data loss may o ccur.
