Upgrading main memory
► Open the casing (see "Opening the casin g", Page 34).

► If the bays are located below the hard disk fan: Remove the hard disk fan
(see "
Remove the har d disk fan", Page 64).
► If the bays are located below the fan at the power supply: Remove the fan at the
power supply (see "
Removing the rear fan", Page 62).
► U pgrad e the main memo ry according to the description in the manual for the mainboard.
► If the bays are locat ed below the fan at the power supply: Install the fan at the
power supply again (see "
Installing the rear fan", Page 62).
► If the bays are located below the h ard disk fan: Install the hard disk fan again
(see "
Install the hard disk fan", Page 65).
► C lose the casing (see "
Closing the casing", Page 35).
Installing and removing heat sinks
Removing the heat si
nk
The shape and po sition of the heat sink are device-dependent.
► Open the casing (see "
Opening the casing", Pa ge 34).
► Remove the hood of
the hard disk fan and the hard disk fan itself (see
"
Remove the hard d
isk fan", Page 64).
► U ndo the screws on the heat sink.
► Lift the heat si
nk out of the casing.
You can now replace the processor.
Installing t
he heat sink
► Open the casing (see "Opening the casin g", Page 34).
► Reinstall t
he heat sink so that the air flow is fed towards the back of the
casing (se
e arrow on the heat sink).
► Tighten the screws.
► Reinstall
the hard disk fan and the ho od of the hard disk fan (see "
Install
the hard d
isk fan", Page 65).
Never att
ach o r detach fans during operation. This can cause problems
control
ling the mainboard fan.
Replacing the processor
► Open t
