Installing and removing the hard disk drive

Removing a hard d isk drive
► Open the casing (see "Opening the casi ng", Page 32).
Harddisk drive,
► Remove all connected cables (data cable, power supply) from the drive.

► Undo the screws (1) and gently press a gainst the hard disk drive from underneath.
► Pull the drive backwards a short way out of the bay in the direction of th e arrow (2 ).
The drive now protrudes slightly out of the bay.
► Pull the drive completely out of its bay. Make sure that you are not touching other component s.
► If necessary, make the required settings on the remaining hard disk drive.
► Close the casing (see "
Closing the casing", Page 33).
It may be nece ssary to modify the entry for the remaining drives in the BIOS Setup .
You will need a SATA cable to install a second hard disk on th e listed device variants.
An additional power supply cable is necessary for the ESPRIMO P2440,
ESPRIMO P2540 and ESPRIMO P2550 de vice variants.
