Installing and removing drives

The PC c asing can accommodate a total of five drives:
• three accessible drives (two 5¼ -inch drives and one 3½-inch drive)
• two non-accessible hard disk drives (two 3½-inch drives w ith half installation height)
"Accessible drives" are e.g. DVD or CD ROM drives, into which a data
carrier can be inserted from outside.

inch drive is for example a diskette drive or a multicard reader.
These drives can be use d to read data s torage media.
Removing and installing accessible drives
The number of screws used to attach the drives varies according to the type of
drive fit ted and may not necessarily match the depiction below.

► Open the casing (see "Opening the casi ng", Page 32).

► Disconnect all cables connecte d to the drive (data cable, power supply cable).

► Loosen the screws (1).
► Working from behind, slide the drive a short distance out of the bay in the direction of the arrow (2).
The drive now protrudes slightly out o f the casing.
► Pull the drive out of the casing (2).
► If necessary, make the required settings on the remaining hard disk drive.
