Installing and removing the hard disk drive

Removing a h ard disk drive
► Open the casing (see "Opening the casin g", Page 32).

► Remove all connected cables (data cable, power supply) from the drive.

► Undo the screws (1) and gently press against the hard disk drive from underneath.
► Pull the drive backwards a short way out of the bay in the direction of the arrow (2).
The drive now protrudes slightly out of the bay.
► Pull the drive completely out of its bay. Make sure that you are not touching other components.
► If necessary, make the required settings on the remaining hard disk drive.
► Close the casing (see "
Closing the casing", Page 33).
It may be necessary to modify the entry for the remaining drives in the BIOS Setup .
You will need a S ATA cable to install a second hard disk on the listed device variants.
An a dditional power supply cable is necessary for the ESPRIMO P2440,
ESPRIMO P2540 and ESPRIMO P2550 de vice variants.
