Vertical streaks appear on the scanned image.
ADF:
Are the glass and rollers inside the ADF clean?
Flatbed [fi-7700/fi-7700S]:
Are the document pad and the document bed clean?
No
Clean the dirty parts.
For details, refer to "Chapter 5 Daily Care" (page 102).

Is there any foreign matter (such as dust or paper dust) on
the document?
Yes
Remove any foreign matter off the document.
Foreign matter may get on the glass that is inside the ADF or the document bed of
the flatbed [fi-7700/fi-7700S], and cause vertical streaks to appear on the scanned
image.
No
Are you performing a scan with [Vertical Streaks
Reduction] enabled in the scanner driver settings?
No
Enable [Vertical Streaks Reduction] in the scanner driver settings and perform a
scan.
Yes
If the problem persists, check the items in "7.4 Before You Contact the Scanner
Service Provider" (page 152) first, then contact your FUJITSU scanner dealer or
an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider.
