USB Connector
Used to connect a USB cable.
Power Connector
Used to connect the power cable.
"Power cable" refers to the AC cable and AC adapter connected together.
ADF Release Tabs
Lift up these tabs to unlock and open the ADF.
Feed Mode Switch
Slide the feed mode switch to the left to switch the feed mode to Manual/Single mode.
Side Guide Locks
Lock the side guides.
Document Bed
Place a document on the glass
section.
Document Pad
Holds the document down against the document bed.
A black document pad is available as an option (sold
separately).
The black document pad is convenient for scanning
documents in a black background.
For details, refer to "A.4 Scanner Options" (page 215).
Document Cover
Close it to hold the document in place.
ADF Lock Screws
Fix the ADF.
Lock Screw Storage Holes
Store the ADF lock screws that were
removed after the ADF has been
unlocked.
Handle
Used to open and close the document cover
