Replacing components Replacing the power-sharing board
4.9 Replacing the power-sharing board (power
backplane)
The power-sharing board comprises a power backplane, power supply fans and
a housing. In the case of a defect, you must replace the complete unit.
Requirements
– The server has been switched off
– The power cables have been uplugged
– The housing cover has been removed
Ê Pull the power supply unit(s) out a little to disconnect them from the power
backplane.
Ê Disconnect the cables of the power-sharing board from the fan backplane,
the SAS backplane and the system board.

Ê Remove the power-sharing board as follows:
1. Remove the screw marked (1) (see figure).
