Replacement routines
Ê Install the hot-plug PCI divider insert as follows:
– Adjust the hot-plug PCI divider insert over the hole in the system board
(see arrow).
– Push the safety pin (see figure 19 on page 39) into the hole until it snaps
into place.
Ê Install the following components:
– UFM if present (see page 51)
– SAS/SATA RAID controller card (see page 26)
– I/O riser card (see page 26)
– Expansion cards (see the Operating Manual and the Options Guide).
– All memory boards and memory dividers (see the Operating Manual).
Ê Close the server as described in section "Closing the server" on page 22.
Ê Reconnect all external cables to the server.
I To ensure correct operation, make sure you do the following after
installing the new system board:
– Update the BIOS and the iRMC S2 firmware
– Set the current Date and Time in BIOS menu
Default- and customer-specific BIOS settings are automatically restored
to the new system board BIOS in the background during first POST.
If applicable, activate TPM functionality in the system BIOS under Security >
TPM (Security Chip) Setting > Security Chip. For more information, refer to the
"System Board D3141 BIOS Setup Utility for PRIMERGY RX600 S6" manual.
This completes the replacement of the system board.
