Why is my Garrett ATX Metal Detector making erratic sounds?
    • V
      vbrownJul 27, 2025
Erratic sounds and noisy operation can occur due to several factors. Excessive electrical interference or metal in floors and walls could be the cause, so try moving outdoors. Ensure the searchcoil is securely connected. Check if you are near power lines, wire fences, fluorescent lights, or other metal detectors causing interference and move away from these sources. Performing a Frequency Scan or reducing your Sensitivity setting may also help.
