TEM Requirements
The ORIUS™ camera should only be used with the TEM’s listed on Gatan’s compatibility chart or specifically
approved in writing by Gatan Engineering.
The camera should only be used in a manor described in this manual, all other uses could cause system failures
and/or dangerous conditions.
Operation requirements
Ambient temperature 10-30° C
Ventilation The camera controller requires an unrestricted air supply for proper
operation. Care should be taken not to restrict the supply.
Water cooling 0.2 – 0.5 l/min at 15 to 25° C

Power cords Only use the one supplied by Gatan.
Ground for the camera power must be the same as for the TEM power.
All items, the camera, the computer and the monitor must be plugged
into the Gatan supplied power strip and this MUST be grounded to the
TEM, see installation instructions.
